That is not an image that comes across Crow I'm afraid. Of course there are some that are less active, but there is a huge amount of angst on this site...why?
Music should bring people together. It should educate, entertain, enlighten and inform. Differing points of view? Of course. The world would be boring if we liked the same stuff, but u are promoting a music appreciation website. An incresingly rare commodity in these times of populism. What exactly is the website trying to achieve? If the people running it are in constant conflict, then those young and impressionable will look elsewhere to find supporters of their music. I am 35 and maybe too old for this site (?), but I have been longing for a music site that emcompasses a wide range of music and views, yet still remains off the mainstream. If the people that run it cannot see that then I despair for the state of music. We should galvanise against the system, no matter what genre of music you like. After all, that is how you found this website? I don't want agreement for every band (how boring would that be?), but let's take a more mature approach to this site. It's avery good site-let's not lose it's original aim.

i think jackhammer is right, but i think some-what argumentative discussions should be welcomed.
it seems like most of the angst comes from some of the senior members vs the emo posters. As in, arguing about whether or not its credible music or just a scene. Also, a lot of it is sarcastic and may not be as serious as your taking it for. |

The mod's do NOT create healthy discussion. I am not knocking the integrity of each individual mod, but this whole forum seems to descend into some battlefield. Why?My post is trying to help surely? Make me a mod for gods sake-I will clean up lol.

See, I see that as knocking the integrity of us and frankly it pisses me off since we work hard and then get criticized by some noob whos been registered a month and told we don't create healthy discussions. I hold my tongue plenty and go out of my way to work my ass off making threads and spend a bunch of time organizing these polls, getting people into new bands, and making this forum a better place and do I ever get any thanks? No not really. You don't contribute nearly as much as I do, yet you treat it like i'm some sort of disease on the board, I find that pretty goddamn insulting.

Of course CROW youre intentions are honourable and you, yourself have been very mature considering your young age,and the fact that you are one of the few moderators to reply to this thread deserves a lot of credit.
Unlike virtually every other forum I have come across, this has the potential to be one of the greatest because it's acceptance is not all inclusive. However there are certain members that need ringing in, and this isn't being done. Opinion is all well and good, but some of the responses here seem to be just a case of flaming. Why? we all may like different bands and will banter on those bands particular merits-that's what music is. That is what popular opinion is. Do U have to agree? no, of course not, but some of the personal tirades on this site have forced a lot of potential good posters here to look else where. Create constructive criticism by all means, but dont exclude others-some of us do know what we are talking about. i will continue later-ineed some sleep !

And a space bar apparently...bah-zing!
No really though. Musicbanter stays ahead of the pack because we're a family. And if you stay here long enough, for better or worse, you're family. We fight to the death, but defend each other in every other situation. I would like to take this time to say that I am loved the boards over, except for the few who hate me because I'm beautiful and happen to be an intellectual super power. My mind has nukes.... If you want me to go in here, i guess I'd like at least one example of what you meant, ideally 3 to 5. it may just be an inside joke that didn't come across correctly.
