So, I guess happiness does exist.

sorry for that whole "ruining of your topic and basic philosophy".

I hope we can still be friends.

any chance you see numbers as colors as well?

If I come back and look at that post tomorrow, I will have no choice but to assume you don't exist. Enjoy your last day of existence.

You do that to?! Or are you just matching random colors to numbers to mess with me?

You could talk about happiness in terms of a sort of spiritual contentment doesn't exist, that all it is is chemicals being released into the brain. You could talk about the fact that money may not be able to buy happiness, but it can buy cocaine which basically just floods your brain with endorphins, the happy chemical. I don't know. I'm not even completely clear on what exactly the point of your paper is. If you do want to back it up with some other philosophy though, most Eastern philosophies teach that Good cannot exist without Evil, Taoism for instance states that a wise man does not abstract good from reality because doing so also abstracts evil... therefore he is simply content with the nature of things. That might be sort of along the lines of what you're going for...?
Yeah, I should probably come up with a new definition for "true happiness". I like those ideas you have though. What I was thinking earlier was that I should talk about spiritual contentment not existing, and maybe I'll use spiritual contentment as my definition of "true happiness". Thanks for that post.

If you really want to by happy, get a job and get responsibility. Stop whining that you just want to go out and how you don't want our money, if we stopped giving you money then you would be much more unhappy than you claim to be now. It's pathetic. You should be happy and if you're not you can ****ing quit school, get a job, and pay for all you're god damn stuff (he then picked up my defenseless Tom Waits cd and chucked it across the room and it sadly broke). Are you ****ing happy now? Look, now you have fewer possessions, are you ****ing happy now you whiny bitch? Happiness comes with responsibility, which you have shown you can't handle at all. You always **** it up. It's just pathetic (around this time I locked myself in my closet and read a book to block him out until my mom intervened or he got tired at yelling at a door)

So that was my dad's fun rant about what is happiness. I'm sure there is something useful in there.
<3's your dad

Yeah, I do. I think it stems from grade-school, we had these little colored blocks that represented different numbers... Then again it could just be a completely random manifestation of my mind.

It's actually a weird thing called synaesthesia that often involves seeing colors when you hear numbers, words, or even music.

It's weird.
