Well if you don't care that people think you're a retard, more power to you...:\

I believe the reason most of this new generation are morons is simply because they have been brainwashed into being them. Paris Hilton, Ashton Kuthcer, Jackass, all these attitudes were glamorized like they were the coolest thing (or at least acceptable). If anything I pity the fool that thinks intelligence is taboo. Did I just quote Mr. T?

Because some of us hold ourselves to higher standards, regardless or reward, reciprocation, or an attempt to curry favor with others.

Its more about having respect for yourself.

About being able to write and communicate properly in my own language? Yes, I most certainly would. And I'd think it quite embarrassing that some foreigner knows how to use it better than me...

I think you're confusing laziness with having a life. If you know how to spell then it shouldn't really require an effort to spell properly and use proper grammar.

I'm no grammar nazi but if I was going to go on a forum I would at least make an effort make my points clearly & concisely.

Surely if you are coming on a forum and writing in text speak & shorthand and you are basically just writing jibberish all the time so that nobody takes you seriously, that would be a bigger waste of life.
