I have Diabetes.
In the past couple of weeks I would get sick, my grandmother would check my blood sugar and it would get very high, yesterday around 5 at night, I got really bad, I was cold but sweating, my chest and stomach hurt and I started seeing weird lights in the corner of my left eye that were getting brighter, I thought I was gonna die, and I would have, my grandma checked my blood sugar and it was way down to 35, so I got a coke, chugged it down in 15 seconds and it boosted up to 257, which is high, but at least its not lethal.
I went to the doctor, got my blood tested and everything and I will get the results sometime this week, not determined yet that I have Diabetes but it's extremely likely that I do. I have too many carbs on my diet, I have to cut down and keep my protein/carb intake in perfect balance, I have to eat and drink something with protein in it every night before I go to bed, like a peanut butter sandwich and some milk, I have to get my blood checked after I wake up and 2 hours after every meal. Life's great ain't it? |
I'm sorry to hear that man...
|
Me too. =(
I don't think it will drop like that again, I just have to keep an eye on my blood sugah. |
Does anyone else in your family have it?
|
You'll be right mate.
It's going to be a pain in the arse, but you'll cope. Chin up mate. :) |
Sorry to hear about that boo boo, you're native arent you?
I watched a program on Native American people that was basically saying that the American diet is flat out killing Native Americans as it completely different to what your bloodline supports. The number of Native Americans with Diabetes is almost at a staggering 80%, it is flat out f*cking sad. Our Natives can't seem to ever win :( |

yea, i'm sorry it sucks, my cousin was diagnosed when she was like 7 or something (she's 16 now). Eventually you'll be able to feel if your low or high, also you'll probably get a pump that stays in you most of them time, but allows you to eat whatever the hell you want. According to her once you get past the first year it gets exponentially better to deal with. Again, very sorry bout that.
