I've been seriously considering attending Smithson next year. Any thoughts?

I haven't really heard much about it.

Whatever college you decide to attend, make sure you look into it thoroughly so you find the correct fit of school. Look at every aspect - from people, location, campus layout, food, teachers, to housing, and whatever else you may find important, to make sure you are going to be comfortable in the environment. If you aren't okay where you are, you aren't going to do well and your college experience will suck.

If you do end up making mistake, do the best you can and transfer somewhere else, you'll at least have an idea after a semester or two about what factors are most important to you as a school.
