We had this issue a while ago and it was the cause of much discussion.
Depending on how the word is used and in what context is immaterial.
I think the whole use of this particular word leaves too much scope for interpretation, especially on a forum where intonation is impossible.

I'm sure swim didn't use it in a disrespectful or derogatory way, but her response to your request didn't leave you any option.

And this applies to everyone...I think it's best the word isn't used at all, as to avoid similar situations in the future.
Also, disregarding a moderators guidance isn't a good idea.
