If you're documented as being a harm to others you should be required to get help. Shit, if you're having a heart attack they'll send you to the hospital. Same thing.

Following the massacre at Dunblane, Scotland, the British government put a total ban on hand guns and restricted other firearms to gun clubs.
Also, to own a firearm in this country, you now need 3 written references from respectable members of society.
We even restricted the sale of replica guns.
These measures were known as the "snowflake effect"...the plan was the need to make a start somewhere, despite existing guns still being on the street.

However, gun crime in Britain has increased, probably because of black market weapons flooding the market. A lot of killings in this country are drug related...until recent years that is, now young people are being shot dead as a means of settling petty arguments.
I believe gun crime in Britain would be far worse, if the gun laws hadn't been introduced.

God only knows what the U.S is going to be like, in say 10 years time, if your government fail to implement gun reforms in the near future.

If the U.S. don't do something about their gun laws, trends suggest that your in for a lot more incidents like the one in Virginia.

Gun laws definetely need to be changed.

Every single person above the age of 16 should be legally required to carry a handgun. Let's see some ****er try to take down 32 people when they're all packing!

Yeah it would be difficult to get rid of all the guns here though but it needs to be done, I don't know how many more school shootings people need before they realize they need to implement some rules and it isn't just limited to that, whats to stop someone from buying a gun and shooting up a mall? Its probably happened before and will happen in the future. I think the country needs to model itself after the british gun laws, but we probably won't until we have a few more public shootings back to back and people start protesting everywhere. I don't think it will happen if we keep get another idiotic republican president who thinks shooting things should be the new national passtime.

What do you mean by that ^.

Disgusting because they failed to act on the film he sent?
Disgusting because U.S coverage isn't getting the full story across?

I just think alot of the stuff being said is completely unnecessary, and they don't focus on actual issues it brings up. Theres been no mention of how someone with a record of being depressed and sent to places for help managed to get a gun its all trying to play up the twisted serial killer thing, we get hes twisted he killed over 30 people. I understand the need to report that he had a history of disgustingly violent thoughts, disturbing actions and all but thats ALL i've seen anybody focusing on. I've been sent and read like 10 articles by now and theres been no mention of how messed it is he managed to get a gun, or changing the gun laws. Its just all that he was twisted, his actions have already showed that.

I just read the BBC report again and what I didn't realise the first time I read it, is that the photo shown and the tapes and notes that were sent to the media, were sent INBETWEEN the killings in both buildings!

The media here are suggesting he knew the girl that was killed in the first building and he'd been stalking her.
The suggestion is that he liked her, but she had a boyfriend. And that the police were investigating the boyfriend, who was a gun enthusiast and lived off campus, when the second wave of killings began.

Shit man, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. Especially the Michael Jackson/Catholic priest part. What the fuck?
