Who knows Linux?
I'm installing Gentoo when it says

dont use gentoo use debian preferbally ubuntu but you apparently have some ****e dup disc |
if you're asking yourself questions like that, i recommend you use ubuntu. it will help you get your feet wet in linux without the hassle. then as you learn about linux with it, you'll feel more ready to move on to distros like gentoo, or you may just continue to use ubuntu, since it's a very capable distro itself.
