Yes, but not necessarily completely safely. Underdeveloped bodies do not handle pregnancy well for a variety of reasons, but there have been cases where both mother and baby survived. It is a huge risk to take though and I'm sickened by the fact that 10 year olds are forced/sexually abused to be pregnant.

I mean, good, but what exactly would be the drawback socially?

We have high taxes. I'll admit that.

Sorry, but I’m confused by the above - what are you saying?
Maybe you meant ‘People should not be punished for making a mistake and women should be allowed to have sex freely’ ?

I'm not following the birth rates argument

next they'll come for contraceptives
I'm not sure how this is a response to anything I said tbh but I always appreciate being quoted.

I don't disagree with you though I am in favor of abortion... I think the magical ability to undo a life altering mistake through the wonders of modern medicine is worth more than an infinite number of dead fetuses.... But basically where you come down is dependant on the value you put on the fetus in the first place

I think he was speaking in a pro-lifer voice, as in, this is what they think or want to happen. Maybe.

A 10-year-old girl was denied an abortion in Ohio after the Supreme Court ruled last week that it was overturning Roe v. Wade, demonstrating the tangible impacts that the high court’s decision is having on patients seeking access to the medical procedure.

A child abuse doctor in Ohio contacted Dr. Caitlin Bernard, an obstetrician-gynecologist in Indiana, after receiving a 10-year-old patient who was six weeks and three days pregnant, the Indianapolis Star reported.

That patient is now heading west to Indiana given that an abortion ban in Ohio, which prohibits the medical procedure when fetal cardiac activity begins, around six weeks, had become effective quickly after the high court issued its decision.
Yeah, this story is shocking and shows the cruelty that will be inflicted by turning a religious, dogmatic attitude to abortion into state law. Although a ten-year-old being pregnant is exceptional, simply on account of the US having a population of 330 million, there are going to many many troubling stories like this one in the future until the recent Supreme Court decision is nulified, over-ruled or somehow negated.

If the girl has her baby, I expect there will be a doctor and medical team to deliver it for her. No-one will expect her to deliver it herself, so you can rest easy on that score Batlord.

I dunno what you guys are smoking. 10 years old is way too young for an abortion. Next you're gonna tell me that the abortion doctors that she goes to see are wearing drag and reading Harry Potter to the kids waiting in the lobby for their abortions.
