Yup. They denied a 10 year old child the right to an abortion, basically telling her that she needs to have it.

Yes, but not necessarily completely safely. Underdeveloped bodies do not handle pregnancy well for a variety of reasons, but there have been cases where both mother and baby survived. It is a huge risk to take though and I'm sickened by the fact that 10 year olds are forced/sexually abused to be pregnant.

Yeah, this story is shocking and shows the cruelty that will be inflicted by turning a religious, dogmatic attitude to abortion into state law. Although a ten-year-old being pregnant is exceptional, simply on account of the US having a population of 330 million, there are going to many many troubling stories like this one in the future until the recent Supreme Court decision is nulified, over-ruled or somehow negated.

If the girl has her baby, I expect there will be a doctor and medical team to deliver it for her. No-one will expect her to deliver it herself, so you can rest easy on that score Batlord.

Will members of any Christian congregation be there to support her after the event? I doubt it.
Having stood with others outside St Patrick’s cathedral, Melbourne some decades ago with a group of ‘pro-abortion’ protesters asking those departing mass if they approved of abortion. Armed with legal adoption/guardianship forms we asked the 100% who responded in the negative if they’d be willing to support an ‘unwanted’ child. 100% refused.

My personal view is coloured by the obscene sado-masochist theology of most Christian denominations who believe all of us should suffer as Jesus did on the cross to redeem our sins. Somehow they miss a central portion of that theology, that Christ supposedly suffered for all our sins - but that’s another obscene, contradiction riddled theological mess unworthy of deeper investigation here.

I dunno what you guys are smoking. 10 years old is way too young for an abortion. Next you're gonna tell me that the abortion doctors that she goes to see are wearing drag and reading Harry Potter to the kids waiting in the lobby for their abortions.
