Mail on a mac- Need some serious help
Heres the deal i have a mac with an operating system OSX- i need help on trying to figure out how the mail system works the icon its under is like a postage stamp with an eagle on it. Tell me how to set it up please.

Google (and the Help menu on the mac Mail program) is your friend here. I have instructions but they are for my school's email server....so I doubt it'd work for you.

There is no difference. The Mac program just connects to the server of whatever mail provider you use, and automatically gets your mail so you don't have to go to the certain website to get it. (for example, I don't have to get on webmail.vt.edu and sign in, etc...because the Mail program fetches my mail and all I do is open up the mail program). You can also have it so that it is checking on multiple mail accounts, like a gmail account or yahoo account, etc.

So AOL will work and i put that under incoming mail server? and if so what do i put under Email address?
