Default Apple vs. Dell

I need a new laptop. And I have a fairly weak knowledge of different computers capabilities.

Which should I buy, a Dell or an Apple?

if you can afford a macbook ****ing buy it!

isight, iphoto, garage band, 2% chance of getting viruses. Its great!

and you'll seem a lot sleeker and modern with a macbook then a clunky ol pc.

I play a fair amount of games, the last few games that I have played seriously were Guild Wars, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Diablo, Baldur's Gate (basically games my brother gives me when he gets tired of them)
