Anyone else noticing a pattern of old newcomers, now repeatedly flaming newer members lately?
Or does musicbanter even enforce it's own rules anymore?
I'm remembering why I took a hiatus from this forum.
Seriously, it makes the place about as entertaining as Oprah.
If certain members have nothing better to do than strike others as inferior, they should be reprimended.

Mods and admins have enough problems on their plates right now, but yeah I sort of agree.

Says the person who's made what? 300 Posts? What old members have come back, Oojay? He's been seeming fine.

People need to start reporting flaming, and repeated flaming. You can't expect us to read every single post and remember which user flamed who last week and that they're doing it against this week. We can't be everywhere.

I havn't notice older members flaming new members either.

Not a new trend, but you're right. You've got to take the good with the bad, it's just an internet forum:rolleyes:

there is no damn favoritism shown to senior members. I don't know what the hell you're on about.

So instead of offering constructive criticism, half the mods and half the members flame the new guy in the song writing forum.
Plus, I thought Sonnet joined up around or a little before I did, and now
he/she must feel the need to act the norm.
And I can clearly remember them being picked on a few times in the past.
I'm sure he/she will give me a few sarcastic responses, but oh well. ^_^

Also Ace, the songwriting regulars tend to get pist off at users if their criticism gets immediately slapped in their face.

If you mean Dark Circle I didn`t see any flaming , I just saw people giving him opinions on his songs & criticising his self delusion. If the guy wants to act all high & mighty because someone dared criticise his work then thats up to him.

I`ve posted opinions on music that have had virtually the whole forum give me a hard time over , I just ignore any abuse and answer questions put to me , i`ve never felt the need to go running to the mods about it.

Ace, it just seems extremely stupid that you havn't been here in about 3 months and you randomly come back and complain people are flaming too much. The flaming is what makes MB appealing, and alot of fun.

There isn't that much flaming on MB, it seems like people don't even know what it is.
