The Edward Norton Appreciation Thread

Lets all appreciate Mr.Norton..for being one of the best actors ever. American History X might be my favourite movie ever. And everyone knows how good Fight Club is. I also recently rented The Illusionist which was pretty good and Norton was amazing in that movie. I love Edward Norton.

Fight Club: Amazing
Red Dragon: ehhh......not so much.

TheUsedToolguy 02-20-2007 10:09 PM

He was also great in Primal Fear-I believe it was and Rounders, but I'd say his best performance was American History X. Man, oh man, I wish I had his girlfriend.

Seconded.

american history x was great, right up until the ending. It ended a little too abruptly for me.

Kevorkian Logic 02-21-2007 05:16 PM

I was confused when he was in Keeping the Faith. He blindsighted me on that movie

adidasss 02-21-2007 05:19 PM

Hahaha...I'm just watching The Illusionist. But I actually turned it off because it failed to keep me interested.:highmaintenancefilmbuff:

The end of the illusionist is what makes the movie.

MURDER JUNKIE 02-22-2007 12:01 AM

You are all forgetting the film that he REALLY showcases his talents:

The Score, alongside some guy named Deniro

True, I managed to finish it and it totally saves the film.

Yeah good film..prolly his best next to death to smoochy..or even fight club.

dog 02-23-2007 05:37 AM

'american history X' was really corny. 'fight club' was pretty good (book was better, he actually dies from the bullet shot in his head, instead of surviving and coughing a little bit.). 'the illusionist' was horrible, edward's character in that is really stupid, those faces he makes when conjuring up those sprits. laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame. watch 'the prestige' instead (also about magicians in that time period, only extremely superior to 'the illusionist')

actors i like better: HARRY DEAN STANTON, PHILLIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN, RICARDO DARIN (argentinian actor, in 'nine queens', 'el aura'.) DUSTIN HOFFMAN. all a billion times better than eddy.

And Death to Smoochy? Can I get a lil what what!?

chronoclast 02-23-2007 08:46 AM

No one has mentioned The 25th Hour, he gives a pretty intense performance in that one too

I'm glad someone finally said this. I was getting more and more upset that it hadn't been mentioned. Probably one of my favorite movies.

Sparky 02-25-2007 08:51 PM
