I personally think that either

the law should permit abortion

OR

give boys compulsory vasectomies at the age of 10, only to be reversed when they are married or whatever the law-makers deem to be the morally correct for them to start being able to reproduce. All boys. All of them, because they all have the potential to get a woman pregnant in the future when she doesn't want to be.

Its only sensible that the onus and hassle should be placed on the males here, because (typically) a woman's body won't become pregnant until a man enters it, so an unwanted pregnancy IS more the fault of the man than of the woman.

Oh, and maybe we could execute married men who get women other than their wives pregnant. That would make sense.

And i'm okay with the first two.

Taking our guns away would cause more crime because people would still get guns, and since it would now be illegal, the crime rate would go up (not to mention violating our 5th amendment rights). Abortion is murder. I wasn't talking about Iraq, I just meant war in general, I'm hoping that the Iraq war will be over by November 2008 myself.

nothing, but war is a sad necessity in today's world and I dont feel that she is the right person to be commanding a country (especially the most powerful one in the world).

but look at countries like Canada-guns are illegal there, and they've successfully enforced it. Abortion is killing a fetus, which technically isn't even a real person, it should be up to the woman getting the procedure wether its ethical or not.
