This could be totally wrong and off, I just thought about it. But what if everybody had a different capacity for free will? That might explain why some people can be hypnotized and some cant. For if minds have different degrees of intelligence, why doesn't the mind have different degrees of free will?
I understand that there is always the choice to do something, but some people seem to have to struggle greatly to go against people's wishes. Is the fact that they have to struggle so much a deficiency in mental free-will?

^ That's retarded
As for free will, of course it doesn't exist. Life is just a long chain of cause and effect branches, which can all be traced back to one cataclysmic event. Everything you do and say is merely the result of particles randomly colliding, and the way you perceive the universe is an illusion that you yourself have crafted. **** nature versus nurture, both are the results of chaotic motion of particles. |

Did you even notice all the question marks to illustrate my obvious uncertainty in my idea? Or were you just too high up on your ****ing horse to see them? Anyhow, I actually believe in the particle theory chain of events ****, until the whole universe is an illusion you perceive because honestly why would everyone have the same illusion? And where does the conscious that formed that idea come from?

Consciousness = electric interactions between cells.
And everyone doesn't have the same illusion. Different people perceive the world in different ways, on various levels. Some ideas obviously gain popularity, again for various reasons, people derive comfort from them, they trust the people propogating them, etc. etc. And yes, I did see your question marks, didn't change the fact that the questions you were asking were stupid. |

my first questions were a bit elementary sounding, I'll give you that, but they were not retarded.
subconsciousness = electric interactions between cells consciousness= there's no empirical evidence what it is. When a mind is manipulated through electroshock, medicine, pain the message to react is registered by the subconsciousness before the consciousness self actually understands to react. Because I agree with the laws of physics, your reasons of why we smell, see, act the way we do are undebatable. However it doesn't explain why we are made aware of what we sense? Why aren't we just zombies? If everything is just particles colliding why can't we give computers consciousness?
