Default My band's image shakeup Mk II.

My band are going for yet another image shakeup, in preparation for some photoshoots and actually having got Paul's ass in gear to get a load of demos produced. The theme this time may be either:

1. Victorian gentlemen.

or

2. Pirates.

or a combination of the two. Possibly a general theme of 'gentlemen throughout history' as adornment on the standard shirts and suit-jacket idea.

I'll be looking up items on the net and posting them here to see if they get a yay or a nay.

I've just gone to your myspace page for the first time ever, so can I just comment on a few things? I apologize in advance if I insult you with anything. First off, there seems to be a big difference between the vocals on Leopard Print and the rest of the songs, are you singing in all of them? I'm not a big fan of vocal/guitar action only, the rest of the songs are in desperate need of some bass/drum action, possibly electronic. I know they're probably your friends, but you should seriously find a more talented drummer and basist. With a bit of tweaking and a much better production, adding some drums and base on Foreboding foreboding and We came here to... could actually make them radio friendly....

This said, I have no idea what I'm talking about and have absolutely no musical talent whatsoever...

Well, I personally feel that dressing like a tosser can get you a long way in the music business. Are there any timeperiods that haven't been appropriated at all for band costumes yet? Hmmm. We could dress like Aamish people maybe.

Swim, I don't mean just themed photoshoots, I mean themed everything. And I don't mean dressing up in fancy dress completely, I mean creating a very definite band style and finding a way to keep it consistent so that the whole band follows it.

Its a Cheech and Chong movie but thats not the point of me asking..the post you made before the last one reminded me off a scene from the movie that fits the topic..they form a band and one of the gusy gets them this ridiculous costumes that look like waiter uniforms and one of them says "lets all be the same bet yet different" and its really funny..or just stoney.

yay for pirates, and if there's a bandmember you all slightly dislike in a friendly way, put him in a parrot suit.
