New Year's Eve

Somebody was bound to create one of these soon enough, weren't they? Or am I the only person in the whole world that is sad enough to be on here on New Year's Eve? Crap, don't answer that.

But anyway, I actually hate New Year's eve. I think that it's really sad that another year has passed and that everything in that year has just gone. I know you remember things and look back, but it's just not the same.

Also I am grounded so I am doing absolutely nothing in 'celebration'.

So what is everybody's opinion on New Year's eve, and what are you all doing for it?

skindredluver 12-31-2006 11:08 AM

Well i think im gonna go to my friends house and celebrate. But i dont really want to cause its boring there and all you do is get drunk and scream its weird

Mr Sensitive 12-31-2006 11:09 AM

That's exactly what I would have been doing if I'd have got a babysitter.

No such luck, so I'm stuck at home.

Raine 12-31-2006 01:10 PM

i'll be at home. finishing college applications and looking for a car.
And seducing my house guest. (best part of the day)

PS: everyone have a happy new years
and remember, drinking and driving may be fun but it's also dangerous :usehead:

it's for this reason american guys should not be allowed to drive on holidays or special occasions like new year's

right-track 12-31-2006 02:38 PM

There's a lot of things Americans shouldn't be allowed to do. ;)

matthews_world 01-01-2007 08:41 PM

Well since I'm working here in Korea, I met my new, not first ;), K-girl and we went into the madness of downtown Seoul to take part in the festivities, watching fireworks, listening to the bell ring. We drank champagne in a 7-11 together and you guys can imaging what came after that. Ah, this country is great.

my new years was pretty mellow, nothing really happened, but i did get some really good powder skiing in so I was happy. I'll have to find another occasion to make up for being sober on new years. and it will be epic.

My New Year's was WEAK!!!

My wife and I ended up going to my sister in law's place, I opted for this so that perhaps she would be able to go 20 minutes without saying "Are you having ANOTHER beer?". So things were well on that front but the company was LAME, allow me to lay out the cast of characters:

Brother In Law - CEO of Insurance Company (health nut)
Sister In Law - I dunno what she does but she is boring
Other Sister In Law - Complete Dipsh!t
Other Sister In Law's Boyfriend - Out of work Elvis Impersonator, his record for alchohol consumption is a whopping 4 drinks and I know this because I'm the one who gave them to him and he was F*CKED
Random Dude - Complete Geek, Wouldn't STFU about Bono
Random Dude's Wife - Complete C*nt

Add in three dogs and this is what I was left with. It was F*CKING NEW YEAR'S EVE and I don't think any of these twats had over three drinks all night, I had three drinks before I took my shoes off. SUCKITY, SUCK , SUCK, MCSUCKITY!!!

A friend of ours got an old night club downtown that has since been bought by her friend/co-worker/boss - and her boss let her throw a party in it... it was pretty snazzy. Got drunk, stole a 8 foot party sub and me and my woman booked it back to her house when we heard the men in blue were going to be setting up random check points within the hour, we got home around 2 or 3 and did the deed of darkness for awhile and passed out in my laundry room. We woke up and we had covered ourselves in hoodies to keep warm. We woke up and the first thing we did was watch some eMpTyV and chow down on the sweet 8 foot sub... then we took a shower together, that was nice.
