cornwalls dull, londons so much more fun

tis fun to tease the cows mind

ArtistInTheAmbulance 12-24-2006 04:57 AM

oh pfft. cornwalls not dull.
granted its a fair bit slower, but christ, london moves so fast you tend to get hit by everything possible if you stand still for just a second.
nah its good down here. so long as you dont go too rural & just sit in a field or summin, you can always find somethin. besides, tis a bootiful place.

Chronotub 12-24-2006 05:04 AM

nah its dull, never any good bands down here, or good plays, or good clubs, etc

christmas lights in london are **** mind, not a patch on mousehole

ArtistInTheAmbulance 12-24-2006 05:07 AM

well thats true, but we travel for that, duh.
bristol aint far outside & theres plenty up there.
& YES! i love mousehole. i kinda have a second home down that way though so yeah.
see the area itself is loverly. just cause you have to find amusement outside of feggin subways & piccadilly circus dont mean its not amazin down here.
where you from if you know cornwall then?

adidasss 12-24-2006 05:09 AM

Just London I'm affraid, for 4 days, hardly enough to see anything but it's better than nothing. I'll have to wait for a proper tour of England. I still have to find my passport though...heh....

ArtistInTheAmbulance 12-24-2006 05:10 AM

:( im disappointed marijan.
but itll be good. for a taster.
you really should come back again though & properly go everywhere you can..

Chronotub 12-24-2006 05:13 AM

your forgetting, cornish people don't like to travel far;)

I grew up in redruth, but went up to london on my 19th birthday, at uni there
back down for christmass atm

ArtistInTheAmbulance 12-24-2006 05:18 AM

aha, i always travel! when i can afford it anyways.
youre kinda right though. everyone in my family is very anti travelling, its like theyd be betraying their county or summin if they did.. hah, & they still bitch about it constantly, i dont geddit.
ah redruth scares me. i went there when i was about 10, there was some gathering type thing goin on, & i got attacked by some small child with a plastic chair.. that & theres general hate on every street, i dunno, i feel unwelcome there =/
see, now truros friendly :)

Yeah I know, but for a proper tour you need proper money...;) I'd love to roam arround England and Scotland for a month or two, but that would cost a helluva lot. And I'm just a poor east-european boy :)

Still, I'm betting Christmas and New years in London can only be beaten by New York.

fixed:)

but redruths not that bad, sorry but the chair thing made me lol

adidasss, you need to try the london eye, amazing view of london

bruise_violet 12-24-2006 05:43 AM

I bet you will fall in love with London.

I come from a real crappy small town, and London was like heaven on earth.

Free accommodation in the North should you ever get round to visiting for longer.
The people up here are friendlier and the scenery is the best in England.

Shame you'll miss it, but you'll have plenty to do in London for those 4 days that's for sure.

Mouseketeer 12-24-2006 08:05 AM

Cornwall is overated, Devon is the place to stay and from there you can visit Cornwall.

London is cool though, must be good to party in.

ArtistInTheAmbulance 12-24-2006 09:19 AM

*gets angry* cornwall is underrated.
everyone says theres fuck all to do here, but what the crap is there to do in devon?
s'ridiculous. cornwalls blatantly prettier & more impressive, granted you have to avoid a few dodgy towns, but the county itself is loverly.
s'a really nice seculded area that actually has stuff to do aswel.

anyway, i dont normally get all patrotic-y or something but yeah.

adidasss 12-26-2006 01:22 PM

Ok, so I haven't heard many suggestions on what to do there. Me and me sis are pondering going to The young knifes et. al. gig on new years eve ( but wondering if it would be too assholish to abandon our eldest sister and her friend, and we're not really sure if they'll still have tickets. That would be an awesome way to spend new years eve though ). Anyone know any good places to buy really cool clothes or summink?
Me sis is hooking up with some of her forum mates and I think it really blows that I don't have any....in London....

MURDER JUNKIE 12-26-2006 01:30 PM

You should be able to buy some cool stuff at Kensington Market, My limey friend speaks highly of it

As for ditching your eldest sister, F*ck 'em it's New Year's and you are in London

right-track 12-26-2006 01:35 PM

http://uk.visitlondon.com/city_guide...f_rockpop.html

Some great venues here ^

MJ's right...dump the others.
Invite them along, (when they decline) let them do their own thing...you do yours.

If it weren't for the kids at this time of year...I'd be down for a night out mate.

Just remember this.
It's pointless worrying about crashing.

If it happens...your fucked. :)

adidasss 12-27-2006 03:39 AM

 That's why I endearingly reffer to airplanes as "flying coffins".
Ciao peeps, it's been swell knowing you.

Blain 12-27-2006 03:43 AM
