Dude you can't know every band in existance, besides, Ian really only listens to the stuff he knows he likes. I wouldn't blame him if someone listed 20 obscure pop bands and he didn't know about them.

It's his opinion on things, he never said anything about knowing it all.

I take it you know all those bands?

Anyway, I think this should be turned into, or maybe a new thread should be started, simply "rate the person above you's taste" so that I can get in on the bashing. My e-ego is starting to dwindle a bit and I haven't really been able to perform recently so i need a little boost.

Clever. Hopefully that suffix gives the word an entirely new definition as well.

And sure, I guess the internet can be "SRRSS BUISNESS". You should know, after locking a thread due to people "taking stabs at your lyrical ability".

Condensed Flesh 12-20-2006 09:29 PM

The whole idea of this thread is to get people to hear or discover new music that they may possibly like, not to just heckle their music taste.

I actually have a very open mind and anyone on here who has a) been posting a long time and b) pays attention to ANY OF MY ****ING MUSIC THREADS knows that. But the vast majority of you listen to MTV spoon fed "music". And I feel bad for you. And will continue to make fun of you until you either go a way or get a ****ing clue about what you are talking about.

If people didn't praise ****ty music I wouldn't have a problem. I don't like Tom Waits. But I recognize how good he is at what he does. I don't like Korn. They don't do anything good. I don't get how someone can actually enjoy lyrics along the lines of "ALL DAY I DREAM ABOUT SEX". OMG ADIDAS LOL.

Seriously. Die in a ****ing fire.

Actually I go and find out about bands that I haven't heard if they come from legit people (cardboard adolescent for example).

P.S. learn to spell.

Others must think they dont suck...so what is the whole 5.5 million people that like Tool, lame? Or the whole 1.7 million people that like Disturbed unintelligent?

I've posted my list in another thread.

Ray Charles - HAHAHAHAHAHA

Talking Heads - Garbage

Offspring - Pretty decent I must say

Elliott Smith - I really don't like songwriters.

All those points pretty much show that you shouldn't be evaluating others music taste. And there is so many "not heard". I mean really, if someone with a bigger music knowledge did this thread then okay. But really.
