Society, as a whole, can suck my bollocks
Hello MB,
long time no see eh? Are you well? Yes? How lovely for you. I am writing this on behalf of every 16 year old in England. To quote The Holloways, so this is Great Britain? What is so great here? Y'see, I used to pride myself on seemingly being the only under-16 year old to never have smoked. Everyone brags about doing it, and I avoided the simpletons and opted out of every chance I had to do so. Then I reached my sixteenth birthday and decided to give it a try. So I did, and I quite enjoyed it. In fact, in a world where being on a high is exactly what you need just to get by (that will be a song lyric soon I guarantee it) smoking was a comfort to me. However, with my passport photo being laughable and me being too lazy to search for any other form of ID, I am struggling to get any ciggies from anywhere. The emo kid behind the counter smirked at me as I put all my heart into blagging a pack of Marlboro Light from him, but unfortunately I am left here. Nicotine free. I called him a stupid emo **** then left the premises. On my way home, I realised... this is all that living is about, isn't it? Belittling others, making yourself feel better. The emo deciding to laugh at me to make up for his inadequacies, then me mocking him to make myself feel better about the whole situation. Bitterness! A lack of equality! These are the only things that power the human race. Bitterness powered me to write this message. So did a feeling of inadequacy. Maybe this is the meaning of life? Well if it isn't, it certainly feels like it right about now. |

Yes, I must say I agree with you sole heartedly. But we're angst ridden teens and the world generally 'sucks' right now. When we've past a few more years we won't really give a crap and will just get along with life. You said something about an 'emo', they're so full of hate and self loathing anyway.
I'd try to remain positive and I do really hope that I won't be an apathetic grown up, but like you say bitterness and I must say 'gossip' makes the world go round. |

He had a long black fringe, which was my only reason for calling him an emo.
Emos have taken bitterness as their own mood now. You can't have an angst ridden rant without being called emo nowadays. I feel this generation of adults will be a miserable bunch. |

I bet it already is... And I dont even know what the label "emo" means..I do angst..being human and living in a world where over 50% of marriages end in divorce, where the natural reaction to things is to curse the sky and ask "why me?", where taking actions for ones behavior is simply misunderstood, where people label others on the basis of clothing or music... The meaning of life lies within you (that wont be a lyric unless it already is) if you choose to allow the "meaning" to be dictated by all the bull**** that has no meaning.. |

cigarettes are barely a high.- how long have you been smoking? When I first started reading your thread i thought you were talking baout smoking something else,..um, you are definitely 16, but it's ok Someday emo will be a thing of the past...when you will hear your friends saying they are post this or that and then it will all disappear and become a far away memory of an emo hating time...and then he will just be some ****head selling you cigarrettes

Ranting is only emo if it's about something stupid.
*Gives this thread the 'Emo' stamp*

Emo is just a trend name that people give themselves to fit in with others who they have nothing in common with.
They don't know anything about real angst and upset, they just do it becuase it's cool. We're playing into 'their' hands talking like this. Why are we talking like this? This thread had potential. |

When a real member makes a real thread about a real problem, dont chime in with bullsh*t nothings. Hobo is right, the world (with a few exceptions) is in a sad state. People are selfish bastards and dont give 2 sh*ts about anyone else. Thats why youve gotta just look out for yourself, cuz nobody is going to. |

Society wouldn't need to suck your balls if you'd just taken your ID, dude. Remember, it's the date of birth that matters, not the photograph. If you care that much about what people think of it, get a new one. Otherwise, if you look like a kid, you ain't getting served, whether it's an emo kid or not.
