Oh what and belittling others is a 21st century trate, Oojay?? I don't think so, yeah ok it''s as bit harsh but their are worst things in the world than harsh words. And the world has been generally selfish since the dawn of man, they call it 'survival of the fittest,' to justify it. I'm gonna bring this up, yeah im a christian the worlds a mess, people treat others unfairly, but we can't change the whole of society, only the way we as ourselves treat others.

I think Void has an interesting point in this, so I'm going to take back the comment i made about him/her before.
Unfortunately, people are missing the point of this whole thread. It isn't about the cigarettes anymore. It's not another discussion about how emo kids are ruling/destroying the world. I'm saying that the 'emo' kid laughing at my pathetic attempts to win him over and get him to give me ciggies was all to make himself feel bigger in front of the kid that I used to pick on sometimes. Me walking out of the shop and calling him a 'stupid emo ****' was also to make myself feel big. Whilst walking home, I was thinking about the encounter out of pure anger and I realised that most situations in society today revolve around superiority. As Kurt Cobain said (the MB member, not the real kurt) it really is the survival of the fittest. This battle of superiority is not only common amongst us humans, it relates to the animal kingdom, plantlife and anything in between. Superiority is what makes the world go round. And when you think of it like that, how can the world ever be seen as a 'good' place? |
