As I Lay Dying? A little bit dry for me, have to be in the mood for some serious Faulkner. Read Demian. Hermann ****ing Hesse for the win! Read Killing Yourself to Live. Lovely book by old Chuck Klosterman, author of Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs... also a good read. |

You'd probaly really like A Winter Haunting (I mentioned it early), its a mindfuck. Its not one of my favorites but its still pretty sweet. It messes with your head quite a bit. |
Dude, As I Lay Dying was one of the best books I've ever read.

Disgrace, by J.M. Coetze. There's something extremely blunt about the way he writes that keeps me reading and reading, when normally I have a very poor attention span for literature. I've started hundreds of books and finished very few but that was one I couldn't stop reading.
A Fine Balance, Rohinton Mistry. Read a lot of books when I had very little else to do while on trains or laying around in the evenings a couple of years ago. This was by far the best. It might not make as much sense if you haven't been to India, but it probably will. |
