Hurricane
Has anyone heard anything about that hurricane in southern US. Pimp_racer and I live in Ft. Myers FL and now that is the exact location where it is supposed to hit. He went to the other coast. But we stayed here.

Theres supposed to be a 10 ft. storm surge, and most everyone has evacuated the area. Its a pretty gnarly sight. People have boarded up their homes and taken shelter elsewhere.

I was speaking to a friend last night. He lives on the South coast of Wales, and whenever there is a hurricane hits Florida, a couple of days later it gives him a really incredible surf. It's really strange how something that affects people on one side of the world in such a way can affect someone else in a really trivial way.
Hope it doesn't do too much damage and nobody gets hurt. The most we ever have to deal with over here is really tiny little tornadoes, which do very little damage. |

My friend is heading to that area today from Toronto for a cruise. I hope you and her are alright. The last hurricane in my area was like 100 years ago. Hurricane Hazel. I'm so inland and so far north that we rarely get hurricanes.
Stay in the basement!!

My uncle lives in Tampa Bay and had to evacuate (he lives on an island, and its supposed to be flooded). I haven't talked to him yet but all the forecasts I've seen have said it's gone by him. A couple weeks ago Hurricane Alex came through and gave some awesome 10-12 foot waves. I'm excited for this one.

15 billion in damages was the count for yesterday. My uncle has gone back to his house around Tampa, and has some damage, but is happy nothing is too bad.
