This was on of my most favorite digital shorts from SNL this year.

(hoping to throw in some American humor)

Saturday Night Live - Giraffes! - Video - NBC.com

For something different;

Hulu - Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update: Michael Vick, Really!?!

Does anyone happen to know if there were any similar shows to Curb Your Enthusiasm before it aired? There are plenty of people here who watch it but for those who don't it is an improvisational sitcom. There is a brief outline (6 or 7 pages ish) written for every episode and every scene within that episode. The actors arrive on set and the outlines for the next scene are read to them and the rest is improvised and ablibbed. Several takes are filmed and then the rest is done in the editing room. I have never known a show written, filmed and performed in such a way and although I know it has kick started a few shows since I'm nt sure if there was anything like it before.

To be honest, nothing really comes to mind.

The British version used to play on Comedy Central like 7 years ago.

Did'nt improv comedy come from Radio shows such as The Goons etc? A basic script prepared just before shows? If I'm wrong just call me a stupid limey lol
