idea - tell me what you think..

so im having a kick ass houseparty this weekend at my place with 4 bands scheduled to play..im thinking about hooking up my webcam and allowing anybody to view it..what do you think? does it sound like a good idea or should i even bother with this? i was thinking of setting up another user account through yahoo so i dont have to use my personal account...anybody try this before?

Alo 11-07-2006 09:21 AM

I never tried it, but if you do not have a proper webcam/recording apparatus, then don't even bother.

Then again, if you do, go right ahead, could be fun! And nice for the bands, because I guess they are locals right?

[MERIT] 11-07-2006 09:44 AM

sounds cool. just make sure you dont capture any illegal activities on camera. they call that evidence.

I'd watch that just to see an American party in full swing.
And the bands would be worth a see too.
Bit pissed off that I never got an invite though Fenix. :(

Sounds cool! Make sure to place the link here. It's really uncommon to have huge parties like that in houses, in Holland.

Fenixpunk 11-07-2006 10:49 AM

there used to be big houseparties every weekend here, but they kinda died out..i figured what the hell, im moving out of this house soon, already have most of the stuff packed up so why not throw one last shindig there.

DearJenny 11-07-2006 10:58 AM

I think that'd be a great idea, I would watch.

MURDER JUNKIE 11-07-2006 02:29 PM

nah, havent recorded anything new lately besides the live stuff thats floating around here and on myspace. been playing alot of gigs though, weve got a couple new songs and I cant wait to record them, they turned out really good. 1 is called Dysthymia (i believe the lyrics are posted here) which has some reggae rythems mixed in as well as a nice soothing vocal part that flows nicely into the harder chorus..our newest song is called "A New Beginning"..kind of a touchy song to be honest, it will be one of those songs where people will either love it or hate it, its a little different than what we normally go for but still agressive. Ill post the lyrics to it and you can tell me what you think. It was written in 1 sitting, no edits, no rewrites in about an hour while cruising on the city bus.

Come on Fenix, you cant have a house party without some drunken backyard boxing! You should get out there and shows us MuBa's how to throw hands.

nope, no backyard boxing at my place. anybody tries it and they have to deal with our two 300+ pound roadies that will be doing security for me just to make sure nobody gets out of hand...normally i wouldnt give a ****, but this is my house and not some random party.

[MERIT] 11-15-2006 03:09 PM

So how was the party fenix? I never received an invitation:( Did you hook up the webcam?

what is wrong with you? (this is a rhetorical question. no need to respond.)

Yeah, one of my friends did something similar to that once, but he made a ton off of a website, so he could afford to. For those of you that are wanting to try and do the same, go ahead, but don't say I didn't warn you - the site is addicting - fun looking at all the things to buy though, ain't it? haha I think the link is for "burnlounge dot com/billboardtopmusic" or something - he became a retailer, I think there's something about it on the bottom of the page. Stupid guy is gonna get his Ferrari before me lol.
