I don't have anything to hide but the thought of it really disturbs me. Internet privacy is kind of an oxymoron now and I'm surprised legal action isn't being made to combat all this. It's invasion of privacy.

yaaawnnn, if you fall for pop-up marketing schemes and advertising you deserve to have your privacy invaded.

I pretty much only use facebook to fulfill my social obligations, but I generally stick to tumblr.

facebook's pretty good for a wee background check if you've met someone new. In the least creepiest way that is what my primary use of it is.

Isn't that how Pintrest works but you are doing that with tumblr instead of using Pintrest?

Pintrest didn't really do much for me (all my favorite retro girls & Sparks fangirls are on tumblr, you see?) and I've been using tumblr for a long time so it's just sort of stuck with me.

Eh, ads on the internet aren't what irritates me (thanks to ad-blocker plus), it's that they probably have some sort of file filled with my personal information and interests that's upsetting. Maybe I'm making a bigger deal out of it than I ought to but doesn't it weird you out that some major corporation knows everything you've done on the internet? Who you talked to, where you went on vacation, what you buy, when your last relationship was, etc?

Obviously it's all in the TOA that that information is surrendered but it's not like you have a choice if you want to use social media. I don't, I'd rather actually talk to people but for those who do it's kinda bogus.
