But I've never had a clue what social networking sites were all about anyway ;D

I heard that Facebook and Myspace combined or something like that. Is this true?

Sounds like it won't affect FB users at all.

Didn't think anyone other than 14 year olds used MySpace anymore

I usually use myspace, youtube and grooveshark to get to know bands I've heard of.
It's great.
I do have a facebook and a twitter. Twitter can be useful (altough I don't to anything constructive with it).
I like facebook for tracing people you've met, but I don't feel the urge to post everything I do on facebook..
