The Academy belongs to the Student building on Oxford Road, smack bang in the city centre.

What were you doing at Piccadilly on a Friday night?
And did you have a copy of the Evening news rolled up in your back pocket?

It's like my second home here, but, 10 times as big.

We're going next friday! We were thinking of seeing Frank Turner, Loney Dear, and the Harrisons.

Anywhere else we need to go RT?

Whats on in Manchester

^ Here's a concise gig guide Alo.
Click on the dates on the calender (top of the page) to see who plays on that day and where.
I don't know how long your staying for, but there's plenty to see over the next couple of weeks.
And don't worry if some of the ones you want to see are sold out. Go on the night and you'll be offered tickets by touts outside the venue. So long as you don't mind paying a bit more than the face value, you'll have no shortage of tickets. Big tip, leave it as late as you can till the start of the gig and the asking prices start dropping.
I think Turner and the Harrisons are on at 'Night and Day Cafe', which is in the Northern quarter, good for cool bars.

What's On in Manchester
Entertainment guide. ^ (See links at top of page.)

Manchester Chinatown Shopping, Chinese Arts Centre and the Imperial Arch in Manchester China Town
Visit China town for a top meal...best places to eat in town.

MANCHESTER MUSIC SPEAKS
worth checking out ^

And just about everything else you'll find here. ^ (more links on page)

Definitely pay a visit to the gay village on canal street http://www.visitmanchester.com/Parts...=10&PartId=150, dead friendly and layed back, best place to drink in town, along with Oxford Road near the University campus.

Oh yeah...Bars around The Printworks Manchester
