Here's a political question, do you guys think Bush should pull out of Iraq? I am really interested in what people think about this.

Nah, politics just decides which half of the country you're going to piss off until the next election.

Well through politics and elections you have state and federal governments(Or in Europe you guys just have one government? Help me out, I'm not familiar with that) that interact with other governments around the world and make treaties and wars and make decisions for the people. I see this as making the world work. I cant imagine life without it, everyone would be so lost. As much as people say they're anti-establishment and anti-government, without that order I do not believe people could function.

no. we cant leave the iraqi government/military to fend for themselves until they have proven that they are ready, willing, and able to do it alone. And with Saddam Hussein sentenced to be hanged, there will definitely a strong uprising of his supporters very soon, meaning attacks, suicides bombers, car bombs, etc.

In Bush's post-election press conference today, he announced that Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld will be stepping down, and will most likely be replaced by formed CIA Director Robert Gates. And the Montana Senate race went to the democrats, leaving Virginia as the deciding factor in which party will get control of the Senate (democrats already own the House).

And unfornuately nobody liked the mourning doves proposal so there will be no dove season.
They get to live another day....for now.

Apparently the democrats have actually won VA, but since it was only by less than 7,000 votes (less than 1%), there is a mandatory recount which wont take place until towards the end of November. And it looks like stem-cell research has passed in MO by 51-49. I hope to god we're not turning into a blue state.

does MO mean Missouri? And if that's the case, what does that mean for the legality of stem-cell research? Is it legal in the country as a whole and different states choose to declare it illegal, is it the other way around, or is the law entirely determined by the individual states?

Yes, its Missouri. The federal government says you can do it only if your state allows it.
