That's probably true (although 'every' might be an exaggeration). Some people, however, stop wondering pretty early on and use the time which they would have spent wondering to do something else instead. I don't know why so many people feel arrogant enough to presume that if there was some 'greater reason' or 'higher power' that they would be intelligent enough to comprehend it. From what experiences I've had in my life I feel that having a shallow, superficial understanding of complex issues is of no more use than having no awareness of these issues at all. For that reason I'm not going to waste time looking for reasons which I wouldn't recognise even if they were there and will just get on with life as it is.

no I'd agree with Croatian boy, Its hard to assume someone never went "I wonder how I got here."

Life a hugh series of moments, and in one of them, even inadvertantly, everyones had one thought lead to another and land them at that question. Whether people want to admit it or not.

Im not saying it has anything to do with God, or even religeon, but just with the question.

i think you misunderstood my post. I wasnt saying that I just go through life bumping off of walls without any purpose whatsoever. I was saying that I don't search for any kind of meaning or purpose of my life beyond what is going on in the present. I don't need some form of spiritual power to give my life meaning. My life has meaning because I give it meaning by doing what I am passionate about, not because of some all powerfull being that supposedly created life. I just don't think there's any value in devoting time and energy in something so abstract and unrelated to the real world and every day life.

Well I think it's still rational to give meaning to your own life AND be curious about the "supernatural" at the same time. I feel more comfortable having faith in something, even if I have no clue what I'm having faith for.

^meh, I just don't feel comfortable with the fact that certain aspects of my life are outside of my control. I do however believe in Karma and positive and negative energy, but not so much some all-powerfull, all-knowing being.

Well put! Focus on what you're doing and actually get somewhere with it. Nice one.

Whether or not any of the figures focussed on by religion actually exist, how - in what actual ways - is 'faith' very much related to everyday life?
