Even if it's religiously wrong, making it illegal doesn't stop people from being homosexual. My take is that by making homosexuality illegal or even just more taboo, all you end up with is a lot of homosexuals who stay in the closet - which is painful for them and, well... brings up other issues... which would you be happier with Oojay? Lots of blatent ***s hanging around, or the same number of ***s around but most of them claiming to be straight, getting married and ignoring their wives, sneaking little peeks at you in the locker room at the gym?

I agree with that. Really its for the benefit of the teen, not the 'baby'. But its the teen's body and I think she should be able to do with it as she pleases. Or, well, she should at least have the choice in matters like this.

My friend is fifteen and pregnant. She's seeing it through though. I commend her spirit, I dont think I could stand to be a mother at fifteen.
But being eighteen on the other hand.....my last boyfriend didnt want to use condoms, he just wanted to pull out(but thats how my fiftee-year-old friend got pregnant). He said accidents happen and if it did, he'd pay for the abortion. That really pissed me off because it was like "you would kill off a symbol of our love because accidents happen?" Bull****. I'm still pro-choice because REAL accidents do happen, like a condom breaking, or daterape. But not using a condom is a concious decision. Anyway......to get off that VERY touchy subject. There is a proposal in my county to STOP AFFIRMATIVE ACTION! Woot! Admission into intstitutions should be considered by strictly academics alone! And there is another proposal to stop shooting mourning doves. The arguement is "there is no reason to shoot them." I say "there's no reason not to!" Shoot the suckers, they're annoying.

I don`t agree with abortion but who am I to tell a girl if she should keep it or not.I wouldn`t think any less of her if she chose to have one.
Life isn`t all sweetness & roses & harsh descisions need to be made sometimes, and people react in different ways.

in any event, i just came from my polling center and made a few exit polls. It looks like my disctrict is going democratic. I think the eigth district will go republican though. (that's just my guess) and the voter turn out is larger than I initially hoped. However, there are a lot of first time voters in my area and one of the exit poll questions was about the war in iraq and some of them didn't seem to know more about it than iraq was in the middle east. At one point (a 19 year old dude) thought the US captured osama bin laden. a lot of people it turns out (my to my surprise) are against abortion. and gay marriage. Oh and PS: speak for yourself my political views are not crackpot I'll have you know.

And dammit, democrats are pretty much sweeping the elections here in michigan. Looks like Jennifer Granholm is re-eelcted as governer in Michigan, dammit! Did all states have an increase in trash-talking advertisements this year? I mean, it got really bad this time. Three year olds fight more intelligently than them.
