Well, you have probably considered al-Queda a Muslim organization and never thought twice about it.
The KKK consider themselves to be a protestant christian organization, al-Queda consider themselves to be an Islamic organization.

Why is it okay to assume that al-Queda is a Muslim organization but a stretch to call the KKK christian?

lets agree that neither are good or representative of their prospective religion. and if you have ever seen a thesaurus you would realize that "psycho" and "crazy" are basically synonymous, meaning that I was saying Timothy McVeigh and the Muslim extremists were both equally as bad. Or course I know that they are the ones igniting car bombs in market places.
