I think "justified" killing very looked down upon outside the US and very split here.

Everything is perspective and you've provaked thought, hiu, so sorry for not answering question yet. I don't have a good answer.

Besides the edict by God of "thou shalt not kill", killing isnt always wrong IMO. If someone is trying to kill my family, I would use whatever force necessary (including lethal) to stop them. And I dont think that anyone would call me wrong fot it.

Yeah, no one has a good answer as to why killing is wrong.

He's saying ignore christianity. If you can't then you can't answer his question.

I think to answer the question you'd have to know how people truly care for each other. For the most part I think it's a selfish thing and it could even grow to an empathy thing. It's selfish because it was your friend, or your role model or just someone who got you through your daily work. And an empathetic thing thinking that someone else lost the same thing. The question is also does love exist? Or is that just a bunch of bs and care is only conditional.

it is wrong to unjustifiably kill an innocent person b/c they dont deserve it. if you violate someones moral rights like that, then you give up all rights that you have, including the right of not being killed yourself.

So what you are saying is killing is wrong because of the moral implications in our society.

Yeah. but it gets iffy. God told David to kill Goliath, and then made David the greatest king in the history of the world.

Well I cant speak for the rest of society, but it is for me. If I want to have the right to not be unjustly killed, then I must respect my duty of not unjustly killing others.

Define "wrong".

Technically, written laws generally condemn people killing people, but thats only law written by fellow men, whose place in life is no greater than your own. So if you want to kill than who are they to stop you?

But it is unethical. You know, beliefs, morals and all that. Most people hold the same values and it tends to keep the majority of people in the same boat, which is how laws are made. If everyone was devided on something than it would be far harder to judge something wrong or right, let alone go on to enforce it.
