Have you ever played one of those god-games on the computer?

I reckon that he enjoys watching us blow each other up and get killed by disasters. He probably doesn't have much else to do. He should have been a Hindu god, then he'd have loads of mates to hang out with. But no, its just him. All three of him maybe (he's a schizo), sat around all day twiddling his thumbs and planning more earthquakes, typhoons and all to give him something to watch.

to be honest i don't believe humanity could mentally store any real truth as to how existance came to...erm....exist, were just filthy mamals and what not. Plus with the size of our ever expanding universe, let's just face it, we're a futile race.

Gnostic 4th-century codices discovered in Egypt in the 1940s include the Gospel of St Thomas (unconnected with the disciple) and the Gospel of Mary, probably originating about AD 135. Gnosticism envisaged the world as a series of emanations from the highest of several gods. The lowest emanation was an evil god (the demiurge) who created the material world as a prison for the divine sparks that dwell in human bodies. The Gnostics identified this evil creator with the God of the Old Testament, and saw the Adam and Eve story and the ministry of Jesus as attempts to liberate humanity from his dominion, by imparting divine secret wisdom.
