What kind of vehicle do you drive?

I drive an 8,500 pound 1985 Ford F-350 Diesel, dualy, with a flat bed. A true redneck I must admit. :D :pimp:

So what sort of vehicle do you drive, be it moped, goped, bicycle, car, ricer, etc..

Rockafella Skank 12-19-2003 08:31 AM

I've got a Ford Explorer '98. It has about 70,000 miles on it, but it still drives great. It's beige colored, has a sun roof, 4-wheel drive, etc. It's a great car. I love Ford. :D

MobilizeTerror 12-21-2003 04:53 PM

It is hard to say we get a new car all the time. My family is mostly into muscle cars. Except my sister likes those dang ricers. :)

I actually played a little text based online racing game called Midnite Challenge and the players kept trying to get them to add Holdens to the game. So I'm sort of familiar with them. At least I know what they are. :D

OzzieJess 12-21-2003 08:42 PM

yeah they like my favorite car!

I'm supposedly too young to drive :pimp:
but I have driven a stick shift, a 18-wheeler, a Lexus, a nice crisp BMW, and a Porsche amongst other things.

I don't feel bad. Pretty damned lucky though.
(I've done a lot of things most people would tink I'm too young to do)

And I don't need an age limit to do anything i wanna do.
I do what I want as I find to do it.

Life sucks.
Can't wait until I'm 65. I'll be too old to want to do all the things I wanan do and thus I will sleep all day and stare at my posters of Lee Min Woo

Finally all my painful saving has paid off. As of Saturday, I will be the proud owner of a Ranger Fx4.http://cdn.getauto.com/photos/7/6647...PA32957-1c.jpg

I'll take photos of mine when I get it. This truck is a beast off road. Its got the Torsen limited-slip differential, Bilstein gas suspension, lots of tow hooks, full skid plates and a 4.0 Liter V6 with 207 HP. I am pumped up.

During summers when I'm back in the old town, I drive my mom's yellow volkswagen polo.

:p:

There are usually quite a few of them on the roads there. I like to wave to other polo drivers when I see them .. They sometimes look puzzled when I do. They don't know that they too are members of the yellow polo club.

Burning Down 05-14-2010 07:04 AM

Hey it was public transit for me too until my dad bought a new car, so I got his old one, a 2001 Volvo S70 Turbo. It was probably one of the last off the line because they stopped making them after that year. I love this car, and it has everything. My dad buys his cars new and fully loaded!

This is not MY car, but it looks exactly like this one. Except I don't have the low-profile tires.

I was about to say, nice ride! Still nice without the wheels and sport suspension, of course. ;) I'd really like to get a V70 R myself, but I doubt I will. Been using public transport/bike/feet for about a year, and if and when I'm ready to buy a car I'll want something with better gas mileage.

It is a pretty nice ride. It's pretty good on gas. I have to get some new tires for it though. I might go for the low profile ones.

Zer0 05-14-2010 03:29 PM

I drive a 1998 Opel Corsa City 5-door. The gear-box is a bit fecked but other than that it drives pretty well. It only has a 1.0 litre engine so it's slow to accelerate but it takes it easy on petrol.

I still have that little Mazda, Now I drive a Pontiac GTP, and just purchased a Civic Hybrid for my everyday driving, and the Pontiac is a guzzler, quite fast, and requires a lot of maintenance.

Walk you lazy sods! I have managed to get to 38 years old with a family and no car and still get around and yes I know America is bigger than a wizards sleeve, I was pertaining to the Brits. I'm sure both Right Track and Urban don't drive either.

It's really essential that I drive. I stay 10miles or so from the nearest town, so I need it to get to work and such. Although I get the bus most days. Or stay at my sisters and walk 30mins to work instead :).

This is why I miss the subway! You never know what's going to happen when a bunch of strangers end up crammed together like that. I always loved taking the subway when I lived in Boston and Berlin. Sadly, I never saw any pole dancers in the subway. And no disco balls either!

Charming, noise! Reminds me of Berlin street cars. We used to have a street car in the city where I live in Iowa, but it was dismantled years ago as cars took over.

Ha ha! I always get excited when I see someone in the same car, too! Your yellow volkswagon reminds me that when I was 18 with my parents in Berlin, they bought an old, used, orange Volkswagon. I was humiliated because I was then so fashion-conscious, and I refused to drive it. Now I'd think, "Yeay! A bright orange Volkswagen! Can you get any safer than that?"

I now drive a deep red 2009 Honda Civic, which replaces an old Honda Accord from the 1990s. Here it is:
http://www.automedia.com/2009-New-Ca...t_Left_Red.jpg

I like the Civic a lot. I didn't *want* to buy a new car, but with a young child I had several reasons for purchasing one. Winters here are awfully cold for walking. Public transport always requires at least a 15 minute walk to get to the bus. Finally, I wanted a new car with improved air bags, side curtains, and overall safety so my child would hopefully be safer.

Which reminds me: children up through several years of age should stay in rear-racing childseats, not just for the first year or so. If you have kids, look this up!!

jackhammer 05-14-2010 05:08 PM

Walking is body therapy to me and besides there are downsides if I drove. I may be picked up for being over the limit the following day and I would spend a ridiculous amount on a stereo system in it! I have a friend who just paid £140 just for a cable to the sub in the boot and no doubt I would do the same.
