Use Foobar to play and WMP to rip & burn CD'S. That's what I do anyway.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. I was just hoping I could get it all done in one place. :\

It's happened to me a couple times that I've been listening to something in foobar, and suddenly remember this CD I want to rip, which means I have them both open at the same times and it's just a general pain in the ass.

I rarely burn cds these days so it doesn't bother me all that much TBH but if you are burning a lot I can see it being a pain. The tagging can be a pain though I will admit but I have never really delved into it too deeply.

Not to bring up a dead thread again, but what your looking for is the foobar FreeDB tagger plugin.
Then when you go to rip a CD there should be a button to make it check freeDB for your CD info and you can click overwrite file tag to make it save these tag to the track before they rip.

Hey thanks! I'll give this a try.

Is mediamonkey free? I don't know anything about it, but I'd be willing to give it a shot.

I just want to be able to rip CD's with the correct tags basically, and make playlists, stuff like that. And if I can use it to burn CD's, that would be wonderful too. I don't need it to be too fancy, but as much as I like foobar I don't like that I can't rip CD's with the information. What I do like about foobar is that I can sort and play music by folder structure, which I've never figured out how to do, or if it can be done, in WMP.
