I got a Canon Mini DC Camcorder for Christmas, but I can't figure out how to capture videos from the tape to the computer...
I am trying to use Windows Movie Maker, on Windows XP. But the message I keep getting says they cannot detect my capturing device. |

Try going to the Canon Website ( http://www.canon.com ). Look up your camera and see if you need to download some drivers or software. I just got a digital camera from Canon and I had to download some software before I could capture the pictures onto on my computer.

When I had a new camera, you had to go to the control panel and click install new hardware for it to read the camera.
