So basically, its a long stupid story, but my comp has certain sites that are restricted/blocked/whatever. Included in these is megaupload, i've managed to make due without it for awhile but its getting beyond annoying.

Moses can't help me >.>, but anyways I go to the site (megaupload) and like, right as it loads all my internet windows just close out. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Is it like, parental blocks orr just my intenret/computer sucking? I'm sure its the former but ya never know..

And try to go to a proxy, and then access the site.

I write like that to emphasize the pauses between each word creating a stunningly dramatic effect, aka its a habit & i'll go try that.

Is it blocked by a program like Norton Anti-Virus? or is it something you can't control (such as a spyware/adware program for instance)???

No like, its a long story but I think someone (my brother maybe idk)did something 'cause they were on my computer and it started doing this for a bunch of sites. Like if I google a swear/sexual word.

Try this..


- Open Internet Explorer
- Go to "Tools" at the top of the window
- Select "Internet Options"
- Click the "Security" tab
- Click the Icon that says "Restricted Sites"
- Click the "Sites" button to see the list of sites that are blocked. If the sites you're having problems with are in this list, remove them and it should solve your problem.

If you aren't using IE, the steps may be slightly different, but you should still be able to get to the same place.

parental blocks most likely, whats your computer status? admin or restricted?

^Restricted but I can get on the admin one.

go on the admin account, find the program that restricts websites (most likely something like Norton or McAffee) and take them off the list of sites that the program blocks.

Try to access the sites on the admin account?

^Then i'd have to put all the files onto my account and use the admin account frequently to use megaupload and that'd just be a hastle...Though I could juse make my user adminn also.

No, you can save the files onto your account from the admin account or even put under shared documents.

Still, I can only use it when like, everyones asleep/gone and I wanna download all the screamo/emo albums I don't have in that one thread which would require using it for a long period of time.

EDIT: okay nevermind...it worked for a little bit, then I logged out to install last.fm, logged back in and its not working again? =/ &, my brother said something about a filter?
