Oversaturated implies that there is an overwhelming intrest, and production of this music, that makes it into mainstream media.

Or wait, I'm sure that you meant it is gaining "popularity" in the "underground"
All you did was copy and paste fourfa when you realized that you really couldn't name any emo bands.

None of those bands are "gaining popularity" and if you can't realize that, and stand by your ridiculous statements, then, YOU are "f*cking retarded"

See the funny thing about those bands all gaining popularity, is that most of them broke up awhile ago.

Tell me that emo is not gaining popularity. Please, tell me that. And please tell me that when a person enjoys one band in a genre of music that they don't go listen to other bands in that genre. Please, tell me that. :bringit:

Emo is less popular now then it was in the 80s/90s.

Rabid Sea Turtles 08-04-2006 10:20 PM

Emo is not gaining popularity. There, I told you.
Now, tell me, that you honestly believe what you are saying.

Embrace, Orchid, Indian Summer, these bands are gaining popularity?

Emo music that I am defending is very non-mainstream. Almost to a fault. It's usually very unaccessible. Un-marketable, and you have to be a true fan to appreciate it.

as i said here ^, you guys are talking about 2 different topics.

Reznorslave 08-04-2006 10:20 PM

But do you not think that there has been a resurgence in the genre in the last few years?

Regression.
