Pop star James is 'more annoying than wardens'

SINGER James Blunt has pipped traffic wardens and noisy neighbours in poll of pet hates.

The star - who rocketed to No 1 last year with You're Beautiful - came fourth in the list of 100 things that get up people's noses.

He was banned by radio station Essex FM last month following "listener pressure".

Ex-Army officer James, 32, defended his music at an awards ceremony in May, telling critics to simply switch off if they don't like his songs.

But the survey of 2,059 tetchy adults rates him as more irritating than stepping in dog poo. He also topped "celebrity" ex-Big Brother couple Chantelle and Preston, Craig David...and illusionist David Blane.

People's No1 hate is cold callers, followed by caravans and queue jumpers.

Ex-smokers are in ninth place with Carol Vorderman twelfth and Americans at No 46.

Men in flip-flops, people who read over your shoulder and dieters who moan that they are fat when they are really skinny also made the list.

The study reveals that women are easier to wind up than men, with more than 80 per cent admitting that little things can send them into a rage.

But Victor Meldrew-style blokes are also alive and kicking - as 33 per cent of men say the older they get the more crotchety they become.

The survey was commissioned by health drink firm Lactofree. Spokeswoman Louise Barton said: "It's the little things beyond our control which seem to annoy us the most - like novelty ring tones and noisy eaters."

Any American list that could be made, that listed Brits or the French, we would be called ignorant, or racist.

Actually alright I change what I said, I'll say it clearer. I hate the american media. how it shows the rest of the world how americans are. Some of it might be true and some might not, either way american media is annoying.

I'm having a bad day. EIMP makes the top 5 on my list. But she does have her moments I suppose.

And I'm an American citizen and I'll put America on my list of top things that annoy me.
And not just the citizens in general although they do make for amazingly stupid/funny tourists. The media, the government, total lack and disregard of respect, lack of home training, schooling, and they smell kinda funny and then complain about the way other people smell.

Vast majority do. And then you have the people that love to overdo it with the perfumes and such. It's like walking into a gas chamber somtimes when I get on a bus.

Gah yes that is annoying...especially on old people. They have the same perfume from like 1920 and they keep spraying it on. And then there's just that "old people smell" of stagnet perfume, old soap, and ancient pop-er-ee or however it's spelled.

I love it how some Americans like to pinpoint a certain smell to some poeple because of the color of their skin or their ethnicity and sometimes even their nationality.

Smell can be a form of prejudice or discrimination I guess...

True, but having come back from China i'm pretty sure every building smells of a Chinese restaurant. Maybe the stench was so strong it got stuck in my nostrils or something...

People who say things like this and then other peopel say things like thiswhen clearly the second person should know, or knows that the first person doesn't mean EVERY SINGLE PERSON THERE, just means most of the people that they can think of.. that they see shown in the media and on videos, movies.. whatever.. we talk about what we know, and what we know is what we see, and hear about.. TV, movies.. where most of the people in the south are shown as hicks..

to me I think canadians, mostly newfoundland and alberta canadians are most like renecks.. And yes I am canadian, and a newfoundlander. Newfoundlanders get most made fun of because of the way they talk and act.. Such as most teenage guys here act like the steriostypical black teenage male or rapstar. Wiggers you can call them.. And all the girls are whores that ware next to nothing.. Even in the middle of winter of which we get some of the coldest.
