Picked some lettuce from the garden and when I was washing it one of these chaps dropped out. Figuring it's not the done thing to eat another man's lettuce I promptly ejected him from the premises and placed him in a circle of salt and then left him to his own ends.

I sincerely regret that. I actually really like slugs and snails, I think they're really cute with their eye stalks and inquisitive nature.
