Yeah i bet that 4 cylinder package with the 1.8 engine looks kick ass with the racing stripes. Bet he even has a fuzzy dice on the rear view mirror and the stick on Mary Magdalene on the dash to pray to before his street races with Ford Pintos.

You mean like the 1965 Shelby GT paint scheme, notice i said 1965. And you don't seem to know much about muscle cars if your claim is that a chevy camaro is top of the pop. the 71 Hemi Cuda would blow the doors off a 69 camaro of any style including the SS with a big block. Do some more research Parnelli Jones.
I just purchased a 1971 Dodge Dart, the front clip is off a Plymouth Swinger, it kinda makes the Dart unique and gives the front end a Cuda look. Although it does blow the hell out of originality.
One of my other favorite Mopar's that Ive owned through the years, is a '72 Dodge Demon (340).
My personal favorite along with Mopar's has always been Pontiac. Owned a few nice Firebird's and Trans Am's with the 400s. Had a 1970 or '71 Le Mans with an Olds 455 once, it was hard to keep it from jumping off the road on take off sometimes, lol..
Ive yet to own a Pontiac GTO, (Would love to own a '67 Goat)!

I've only owned classic fords. Currently have a 65 gt fastback. Owned a 67 fastback and sold it. First car was a 72 Plymouth Valiant, had incredible back seat space. LOL Also at one point had a 1958 T-bird in my backyard collecting dust. Sold it to a girl up the road who restored it to new and still to this day drives it. I never understood talking down about one classic to another. I'm a fan of chevy, gmc, ford and all of Mopar. There are just so many desirable cars on every level. The OLDS 455 was a bulletproof block i can appreciate that. The Dodge Demon doesn't get alot of love but they were rather nice cars and had some really nice body lines i can also appreciate.

The '58 T-Bird sounds awesome, yeah the Dart/Valiant, basically the same body style does have a large back seat & trunk area, along with a large gas TANK!
I was never a big fan of the Demon & Duster's ass ends, to be honest. Always liked the front clip on the Demon & Dart's though. Ive had a couple of '72 Satellite's, a lot like the Road Runner's body style of that particular year. I also like GM & Ford muscle cars.

Lol at the whole fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror comment. As far as the racing stripes that was the going joke at the 1/4 track was putting racing stripes on your ride took a couple secs off your time.

I use to get into the whole Chevy verses ford and all that. After some time though ive just come to love all american muscle has to offer. I hate the biatch rice burner cars that kids fix up now. They remind me of a hummingbird cirlcing a bird feeder or something. Theres nothing even remotley intimidating about their looks or sound. Idgaf if their running 9's in the 1/4 mile their retarded. Regretfully enough I am guilty of having one of these decals on the back glass of an ol chevy hot rod truck I use to have.(high 13's in the 1/4)...which is awesome for a truck thats not tubbed out. At the end where the piss would be landing I had them put the words "Um All" to indicate piss on um all. As opposed to the typical ford, chevy, dodge, etc. Funny enough though whenever stock mustangs or cameros would hop me on the street or rev the motor at a light. It was inevitable that they were going to get a good look at the image on my back glass and then watch it fadin the distance.
Oh btw this is what it had. 350 small block. added hooker headers,3 1/2 flowmaster exaust straight off the headers with two two chamber mufflers..,355 ratio gears (rear end) accel plugs wires with msd ignition, K&n air filter with Edlebrock dish on top of a Holley pro jection (which replaced throttle body injection) bumped my timing up 4 degress or so. Put a performance pulley set on..im a little vague as what brand they were now its been so long. Thats about it as far as the bolt ons on the truck. That thing would fly though for a truck. Then some 295/50 low profile Bf Goodwrench comp ta's on some Weld Draglite wheels to insure traction.

Yeah very similar body style. Had the 318 in it which was adequate power for such a large car. Not the greatest but as an A-B car it was functional. Cost me 350 bucks running and with no rust damage and smogged so what can you do. True the rear ends weren't necessarily the greatest but overall the Demon is a really solid looking car. The 58 tbird was all there and i got it running before i sold it to the girl, so she got a good buy on it. Kind of has some nice classic lines on it and it had a 430 in it out of a 60 bird so it was probably more car then a teenager needed but she loves that car.

High 13's not bad man. I think that sticker comes with most Chevy's. Chevy people tend to more then others be elitists about their rides. There are some fantastic Chevys out there but i always believed people were missing out if they didn't enjoy all the great muscle cars that the USA has to offer. I never rev my engine, i baby the **** out of mine and its got the HIPO 289 with a four speed, it does alright.

I hear ya man but you have to remember that was my first hot rod. I was still a kid pretty much..I know I was in my late teens early 20's. Full of piss and vinegar and not worried about any one particular thing just day to day livin. Really didnt care if the sun came up the next day honestly...i was an ass looking back now.... lol. Anyway I added to my earlier post as to what it had the truck had done to it. Not bad considering the few bolt ons that it had. Never had to go into the motor internally..even though i did want to.

Sounds like a pretty trick vehicle man. Chevy 350's are certainly the best small blocks ever made in my eyes. I've added a few pieces to my fastback most notably an msd, went with a stock exhaust which i regret now. I later added an edelbrock performer and carburetor and also a pertronix distributor which has done a pretty good job of adding some spark and horsepower on the top end. I only put it around on weekends for fun, so i don't need it to scream to enjoy it. I think most guys in their earlier days are kind of oblivious to the universe and think their **** doesn't stink, i was no different, thats why they call it growing up.

The 318 has always been known to be a dependable engine with endurance that lasted with the test of time usually, I had a 318 in a '72 Plymouth Satelite Sebring Plus, with bucket seats and slap stick, it showed a lot of spunk on the road. I did forget to mention that the Mopar 340 in the '72 Demon was one of the hottest small blocks that Ive ever owned, I would go out on a limb and suggest that the Mopar 340 was just as bad ass as the GM 327 could be, but I wont go that far. The Pontiac 400 could be just as mean as all of the others too. There's so many good basic factory engines we could talk about, let alone all the Hemi's and high performance factory engines there are to choose from.
