Has anyone in hee ever heard or studied the 1940's breakthrough in carburators? It had 100 mpg capabilities, and was used in WWII. Then it's blueprints were sold to a company who then destroyed them,(most likely an oil company). I just wanted to know if anyone here knows info about them that I would be interested in knowing. I know that thee are some guys trying to rebuild them and perfect them now. Could you imagine driving a 69' Chevy Camaro with a 350 in it and burning only a fraction of what the new cars use in fuel consumption? It would be on my list of must haves for my 79' Camaro.

Is it a true muscle, because I'm talking about carbs, not fuel injection. There's a difference. 45 mpg is good, but the carb I'm studying is more than twice that in mileage. Someone complained earlier in this thread that muscle cars deplete the natural resources, but we had the chance to make them more efficient than what they are now, but thanks to a money hungry oil slick, we now have no original blueprints and have to start over and try to get it back. So if the enviromentalists want to conserve fuel, they need to help produce this carb. That's all I have to say about that.

I can't remember then name nor how to spell it but they company was only around for 3 years and produced it and two other models then was bought out by GMC because their cars were far more economical than the competition. LOL now you can buy the motors from Kawazaki (can't spell that for poo)
