Well done Di Rossi for giving that dirty cheating bastard Essien a taste of his own medicine.

I'm ashamed in the US. Maybe if they tried attacking forward a bit more instead of constantly passing backwards we could have done something. Donovan and Beasley played like crap. And the 4-4-1-1 deal was horrible. We aren't a smart enough team to pull that off.
I hope we start Eddie Johnson against Italy and we do a bit more attacking or this will be a short tournament.

oh and Johnsons isn't really that good, he had a couple of oportunities to score and he missed the entire goal....that's not a class player...:-/ i'm surprised the US are so weak...i saw some snippets from your national league and it didn't seem all that bad...plus you have a few players in europe....*shrugs*

I was watching the first half of the game between Italy and Ghana in school today and what I saw was pretty amazing. A goal right before half time. Nice
Peace

American soccer just isn't big enough yet. The country as a whole really doesn't care and the countries best athletes just aren't interested in soccer.

The US is a country of rebels. We are just catching up with things like cycling, football(soccer) and the metric system.
I blame the brits. Plus we're a continent removed, that doesn't help.
