It's a shame he reacted the way he did and he was wrong.
It'll be interesting to see the reason behind it. If we ever do. If your gonna fuck about with a grown man...do it properly. Niggly little pinches and snidey arse remarks are infuriating. Sorry mate but the whole thing has really got me incensed. I love football and hate to see the game being reduced to the level of cheating that I've witnessed throughout this tournament. Blatant diving/goading the ref to send off fellow professionals/managers encouraging players to pinch, kick and spit. And now in the World Cup Final itself, the showpiece. It's time to ban the cheats. And I hope Zidane's actions are the catalyst. But somehow I doubt it, just like I doubt that the powers that be relegate Juventus, AC Milan and all the other Italian club sides guilty of match rigging. By rights they should be banned from European Champions League matches too. |

The Champions League is much better than the world cup these days anyway

Although for some reason, the World Cup gets all the glory, when the real Football is being played elsewhere. Sure the World Cup has some of the best players alive, but as R.T said - It also has some of the best Cheats alive and that's what's screwing it up for everyone else. I think if they had kept Henry on, they would've had a better chance. In my opinion anyway. But after losing their 2 highest Goal-Scorers, they were relatively evenly matched. It's a real shame that the cheating, picking, digging etc goes un-noticed. Especially when it's on the World stage as that was. I actually feel a little sorry for Zidane. His reputation would've been ruined because of that little Italian shit. And the fact that he was dis-allowed a Runners-Up medal made it worse. But what's done, is done. There's no way to fix it without Superman. |

If Zidane cannot control his temper than he deserves what he got. Trash talk is a part of every sport.
Zidane is a loser for re-acting the way he did.

Yeah...i bet you would have reacted way better...a person can only take too much...he has been really conserved the entire tournament...then he just kinda blew.

I dont think he should have done what he did....but he was probably close to being one of the most fair players this entire world cup..minus this last stunt he pulled

I was wondering if it was a rascist comment he made to him.
With Zidane being Algerian & the Italians having a bad rep when it comes to that sort of thing it wouldn`t surprise me in the least. I don`t think we`ve heard the last of it
