not true. I am a ref myself and the first one was. The second one (US's first) was a yellow if that. 2nd offense, single footed from behind. It was a make-up call through and through.

I didn't see the third one...

But the second RED card alone is enough for me to hate this guy.

and goddamn you're *** adidass

well pardon me if i take the judgment of an experienced international judge over one of a teenager....i saw all three tackles and all three were justified, the first one was an elbow, the second a tackle from behind with both feet ( there was no ball in sight= therefore it's a red card ), the third one if i'm not mistaken was a second yellow therefore a red card...also a tackle with no ball in sight....

You are wrong adidas. Both those reds on America were tackles from the side, Mastroeni should have been given a yellow at max for his tackle and was given an immediate red. Johnson's tackle also he got the ball and then hit the player's foot after being tackled.

That "experienced international judge" was suspended from the last world cup because of his poor calls, yet is used in this world cup?
.....at least i can see why they suspended him.

Also i've never seen players flop more in any sport than those italians that game. Pathetic.

oh god...americans are now experts on footy....listen bub....a tackle with both feet when the ball has already left the player's possesion is a red card penalty....the second yellow card was also a tackle, but not with both feet, it was a second yellow therefore a red card....i have no personal investment in this game and can judge it objectively....you cannot....plus, our tv station has an expert trial commentator and he justified all three calls....noone is disputing them apart from the americans....

I don't think he was being biased. He made bad calls in America's favor. I just think he made shit calls. About the tackles, what upsets me is when one side does it and gets away with it. Italy made late tackles as well.

Both straight red cards were warrented.

The elbow was a clear sending off , As for Mastroenis sending off ,You might get away with a yellow card for a tackle like that in the premiership , or some other national league where the physical side of the game is given more leeway , but you`ll never get away with a tackle like that in the world cup unless it isn`t spotted.

As for the guy who got the 2 yellows , well he was on one yellow already and went flying in from behind. He should have timed it better.

I'm very shocked by the turnout in the game between Italy and US.

Peace

The thing about soccer that I find is fucking stupid is someone can pretend to get trackled and the guy will get a card even though anyone could tell he didn't even get touched, like the Netherlands and Ivory Coast game.
