Womens insecurities are as much due to modern culture as their genetics. Among animals the male has to atract the mate, why? Because of numbers, there's a higher percentage of males among most animals, and they know this instinctively. It's the same way with humans, just reversed. There's and average of nine women to one man, so instead of us having to atract you, you have to appeal to us. Thus women are naturally pretencious about their appearence, on top of that, culture has inclined us to certain standards in our looks(in men and women).
Please don't pretend you know how it feels to be a woman with insecurities.

And I imagine it's a mixture of factors that make women jealous, not just one random theory.

Some 15 year old kid was killed in a town near where I live, because he was Catholic. Sorry to get back the tho whole N.I thing, but the chances are the people who killed him didn't even know why they were supposed to hate catholics. As soon as I heard about it, I thought that perhaps there had been gangs fighting or something, as usual. I then saw pictures of his parents on TV, and they were wearing Celtic tops. His whole family were. Over here, that's basically saying "I am catholic!!" My guess is that they were quite a republican family. I cannot believe someone was murdered for being catholic/republican in our 'mordern society'!

There's some extremist mother f*ckers around these days. It's some wild **** to say the poor lil' guy was killed for being Catholic in Ireland, but faith has always been the source of lots of hate and controversy. I offer my condolences. I've seen more than a few innocent young kids go down from the gang affiliations in my area, it's always a sad thing to me. I was marked gang related when I was thirteen, so you never really know.

It sickens me, it really does.

A few years back, a teenager was attacked with a small axe in the estate next to mine... because he was a catholic and fought with the protestants,

...i'm sorry to hear that.

you know, i was watching a documentary the other day about Belfast, and there were these young kids working for some newspaper, both catholic and protestant hanging out together. and they didn't have any problems with each other. but when the news crew took the protestants for a ride in their car through catholic parts of the city, they said they didn't feel very comfortable ( they were a bit scared ). and they had never been through those parts of Belfast before, never seen them....i though that was aweful...i never knew it was that bad....to this day i mean...i thought you guys chilled out....the cycle of hatered continues...and will probably never die...

so you are esentially separated from each other and lead completely separate lives? no mixing? going to the other part of the city? i mean, how could anyone know you were protestant/catholic ( if you're not wearing a celtics shirt )?

Urgh, blaming a murder on a band?! It's like that guy who killed his girlfriend, and Mr. Manson was blamed because the kid listened to his music.

I just saw on the local news that some kid had his ear bitten by a pit bull terrier. They are illegal animals, and for good reason. They are bred here illegally for horrific dog fights, which is a fast growing underground 'sport' here. That poor dog, who shouldn't have been kept as a domestic pet, was put down for biting that kid. Why do people keep dogs that are dangerous? I actually don't give a **** what the dog does to its owners, it's clearly not the dogs fault, but then the dog gets killed!

****ing wankers keep pit bulls to try to look tough

Here's one for you all. Locally, (in Delaware), the big story is this guy who just got his execution held up (due the 21st of this month, I think), because his lawyers filed an appeal, citing lethal injection was cruel and unusual punishment.

This guy was sentenced maybe 5-8 years ago to death for killing an old woman...with an axe.

Now I ask you.....cruel and unusual punishment?
