I come back mainly because it's good to talk to people that (a) respond to things you post and (b) have a sense of humour. Plus it's the only forum I'm a member of that I'm not the sole Kiwi. |

This forum just works really well for me, for some reason. I seriously think its something to do with the layout and the colour scheme, it attracts people who just can't hack the tiny-fonted, black or white backgrounded, 'we have a million members so you never talk to the same one twice' effect that most other forums I've seen have. I don't know what it is, it just comes across as being more personable and that encourages the forum members to interact with each other in a more personable way too.
And somewhere along the line it becomes a bit compulsive. I also think that the colour scheme is addictive, or maybe just hypnotic in an unexpected way. Oh, also, it IS a good way to chat with people from other countries. Yeah, its mostly just a few countires and in international terms the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are (as much as people might not want to accept it) pretty similar cultures, but it still helps you to break out of the little cultural bubble you get trapped inside if you just interact within the town in which you live. |

It keeps me from getting a big head, any internet talking crap does but, I know that most people on here know a lot about music, especially compared to their friends and it reminds me that I know nothing: aka, to learn.

Yeah I don't know much about music, and I rarely listen to anything new so here is a great way to discover new stuff.
