I've got quiet the collection of Vinyl and i like them a lot...but i definetly prefer CDs

As of now, CD. However, I've got a ton of old records sitting in my room, and a player that doesn't work, so when I get a new belt for it, I'll be able to see whether I'm in the boat with the people that like the sound of vinyl more. Even if I do though, I'll probably still buy mostly CDs, because of the conveniance, portability, etc.

I would like to start a vinyl collecton if i had a record player, but i don't. :(

....buy one?

That may require me to have to invent a time machine so i can travel back to when vinyl record players were still commercially available.

Otherwise, it's pretty much a lost cause.

I have a dumb question, dont laugh too hard, but, exactly how do you hook up speakers to a record player? Do you have to have special kind?
